While looking at my laptop, thinking what programs should I install or uninstall, I listed the top 5 programs I need to backup. The programs listed are the most commonly used programs in my ECE course. So let's start.

1. EagleCAD

Eagle cad is a software which helps you to draw schematic diagram. It has a very simple design and easy to use. After making the schematic diagram it has a toolbox which check if your schematic is correct, it is called a DRC check.

It also has a PCB maker. It transfers your schematic drawing to a PCB layout design (sounds good right). You can manually route or auto route the PCB tracing. Then print it. You can download your EagleCad here.

2. Proteus ISIS

Want to test your circuit if it is working or not? Then this is the right software for you. Proteus for me is the best circuit simulation, you can simulate your circuit limiting your expenses. You can even put a tester probes to measure the current or voltage across every circuit elements or put a spectrum analyzer to see the system output in frequency domain. It also has a PCB layout design, it automatically transfers your schematic diagram to the PCB layouting. What else can you ask for? For anything else visit their website and download the program here.

3. AutoCad

Whether what kind of engineer you are, architect, Civil, or Electronics we are all desiring a common thing. Yes it is. We all want to build our own house. Autocad helps you to see your future home easily without expending too much. It helps you to see your home either in floor plan, 2D form, 3D form or all the above. So start making your dream house, remodel it, draw it in autocad and voila a perfect dream home for you and your family. You can download the software here.

 4. MATLAB

Are you a design engineer? Do you want to build and test your system without expending too much money? Then this is the right program for you. MATLAB is a powerful software that helps you to transform your circuitry or your system into basic mathematical equations. With this you can predict, make a graph to see the impulse and step responses of your system with different kind of inputs. MATLAB + Simulink toolbox equals perfect match. You can check their website here.

5. Arduino

This is the last on my list. No matter what our age is, man is also a big-child. With arduino software we can make, program and design toys, quad-copters, RC cars and even toys made to move using the Bluetooth device on our phones. For everything else, download your arduino software here.

Have some list of your own top programs?, you are free to comment it here, paste and share it with everybody. Thanks!

Every computer users need to know how to use and improve their computers, for those who want some 'common-user' tips just click it here. But for us, Geek users; we are the special kind of users: we want to do something new and complex. We want to go above and beyond the basics knowledge of computer techy, computer upgrading and improvement, we want to explore every place and possible tweaks of our system and make everything easier. So, without further ado, just click it here to gain some knowledge and tips about computer, especially for the geeks.
These are some great tips which I've tried myself, go, try and practice yourself. There is no harm in trying. If anything goes wrong, it is your additional learning. Be the computer geek you want to be!
How much do you know about computer? Do you really think you already know everything about the threats in the cyber world? These are the two important questions which need to be answered by our own self. Because sometimes we blame the anti-virus company for not doing their part even if we asked for their service at a high price. Sometimes we point the blame on others, especially if the OS we are using are prone to attacks and high vulnerability for intruders to enter. But did we ask our self, on how much knowledge or information do we have when it talks about viruses, Trojans and the likes. Maybe our knowledge is too little that the blame is to be put on us.
In order to increase that knowledge, I've found a very interesting questionnaire given by the one of the best anti-virus software developer 'Dr. Web'.

Doctor Web is the Russian developer of Dr.Web anti-virus. Doctor Web is one of the few anti-virus vendors in the world to have its own technologies to detect and cure malware. So, without further ado, check this 'Eternal Questionnaire' made by them and check if you have passed. For me, I barely passed this questionnaire.
Any comments or suggestions? Feel free to post your comment and I am gladly to read it. Thanks.
Have you already experienced while having a good Internet connection, no programs running in the background yet your Internet browsing still takes time? Why won't you try some of these tips to improve your Internet browsing even for a little.

Mozilla Firefox if you are using this one of the great browsers, try some of these tips to improve your browsing. You can download up-to-date Firefox here!

1st step: Open your Firefox browser and type on the address box: "about:config" without the quotes. You should see something like this on your browser.

2nd step: Look or search for these two entries in the configuration lists naming network.http.pipeling and network.http.pipelining.maxrequests. You can filter these items in order to search faster by pressing "Ctrl+f" (without the quotes) and type these entries name one at a time.

3rd step: After you located these two configurations click first the network.http.pipeling (it is in Boolean type to be sure) then click it. It must be put in enable mode. Then click the network.http.pipelining.maxrequests  (it is in integer type) then change the value to 50.

And that's it, the configuration for Firefox browser is done. Check if your Internet browsing became faster than before.

Google Chrome if you are using this browser, try to follow this simple steps. You can download the Google Chrome installer here!

1st step: Open your Google Chrome browser and type the following in the address box: "chrome://flags" without the quotes. You should see something like this on your browser.

Take note! Careful in changing some options here, aside from the steps given in this site. Change it in your own risk.

2nd step: Look or search for these options in the browser. Only enable the three options highlighted by the box. Just choose enable and voila! check if your browsing becomes faster than before.
